No matter what age you are, there are probably some things that you have loved and lost especially Your Favorite Gadgets – particularly in terms of electronics and other such possessions.
A Few of your Favorite Things about Gadgets
Anything that’s fun or useful, or both at once, usually leaves its mark in your memory, but as the pace of progress moves on increasingly quickly, even your most cherished of possessions can be left behind.
Here are just some of the things you may have all but forgotten about, along with the ways you can bring them back into your life.
Your favorite phone
Nobody expects a mobile phone to be a friend for life, and it’s only natural to move on to a newer model every so often, even if your old handset is still working.
If you’ve got a once-cherished phone hidden at the back of a drawer somewhere, consider bringing it back into action – especially if you still know where the charger is.
You can get pay-as-you-go SIM cards that would allow you to use your phone without any ongoing contract charges (just make sure you use it often enough that the SIM doesn’t get canceled).
Alternatively, just charge it up and switch it on, and indulge in a retro gaming test to see if you can still match your old high score on Snake.
Your favorite computer
Whether it was a PC system you built yourself from parts, or an iconic all-in-one like the Apple i Mac, anyone who’s spent much time around computers probably has one they liked the best.
The joy of PCs is that you can usually restore them to working order by replacing the broken parts – or, replace all of the ‘guts’ of the system but keep the old tower case, for the illusion that it’s still your much-loved old PC.
You might find it easier to replace an iMac, rather than repair a broken one – and refurbished models are a great way to get your hands on a classic, celebrated piece of design, that has been restored to full working order by a professional.
Your favorite toys
Finally, think back to childhood, and the toys that helped you to fill your days with smiles, laughter, and adventure.
You don’t have to be a comic book geek to think fondly of toys, even as an adult – and whereas a grown-up collector of figurines might be unwilling to take them out of the box, any toys you played with as a child have probably already seen plenty of action.
This can make them a quirky yet eye-catching ornamental feature, particularly if you have a full set of action figures from a particularly popular television show or comic book series.
Whatever toys you have left from when you were little, think about how they might be displayed – or even adapted to create tables, clocks or lamps from them – and you can make your home into a childhood wonderland.
