Futuristic Aircraft To Stop Sonic Boom Entirely
ohoku Universityâ€™s researchers are working to develop a completely different and awesomely retro-futuristic invention: supersonic biplane to eliminate sonic booms completely. Other researchers of aircraft companies are also creating lots of various ways with their designs to fight with sonic booms; they designed most of long and skinny air plane with sharp and pointed front to reduce the problem of sonic sound. When the plane flies through the sky, it is constantly Blowing a flow of air waves out of its way; similarly to a boat, yacht or ship moving through water by pushing out waves of water. These waves of airÂ with the speed of sound and it would be very interesting to know that when the aircraft is flying slower than the speed of sound, the waves of air can put out of the way in between each others and people standing on the ground lavel will simply hear just a regular noise of the plane when it passes overhead.
Â The phenomenon of sonic boom happens when an air plane starts flying faster than the speed of sound. This is when the waves of air can not outrun the speed of air plane anymore & they stake up with each other. This leads to the forming of a single shock wave and generates sound at the front of the aircraft which can be very bad experience for anyone those standing on ground if they get hit with it, and they also get smacked by second trailing shock wave created by the negative pressure created from the rear part of the air plane. Here that special double boom occurs.
Â Concept of this airplane is â€œMisoraâ€ it is very familiar word for Japanese people it means “sky” in Japanese language. And it represents an completely new type of sonic airplane, developed by Tohoku University’s Institute of Fluid Science. If you see the biplane you will find out one type of air plane similar to planes of 1930s which having tons of load from their two wings and because of these heavy wings it were disable to reach at high speed but the biplane has its two wings arranged in a way to re press shock waves at each other, achieving the positive pressure shock wave and the negative pressure shock wave and like this zeroing them out. In such a way it is possible to get supersonic airspeed with no shock waves at all.
