Madonna Super Bowl Show – Costume Designs
adonna’s Super Bowl costumes are designed by Givenchy’s Riccardo Tisci. Riccardo had only three weeks to do the costumes and this was the only big challenge for him. He had to complete couture and pre-collection in that time.
But he had contributed time for this collection because it was fashion history! And Riccardo certainly went the extra mile for his beloved star. Riccardo and his team initially designed twenty eight looks for Madonna’s Super Bowl and she chosen three out of them which she liked most. The first one was a golden cloak made by micro sequins all embroidered by hand and was really hauteur couture. The mix of sequins with the fabric, gold metal cut out pieces, crystals, lined in leopard-print chiffon was looks like a museum piece. He has done lots of hard-work to impress Madonna. Riccardo has made a hand-embroidered metal leaf shorter cap to look like leopard print. The leading factor behind these beautiful costumes is “Egyptian and Roman” influence theme. Riccardo designed all the outfits for this show including clothes, gloves, belts, hats, even he designed underwear also. Shocked? Yes Riccardo made an embroidered pair for her and when she was dancing you could see her specially designed knickers. We are eager to know your personal opinion on these costumes.
