his private resident is located Sesto, Italy and completed by August 2008. Designed by (Plasma Studio Architects) of United Kingdom. The steep site is the principal limitation of this private residential project, which is closed between existing buildings and limited the possibility of development of the volume, which is derived from the shape of the house, this is partly underground, with 2 spaces covered parking at the front, from which a small staircase leading to first floor, with living areas and the bedrooms, the second floor.
Because of the lack of available space, stairs and circulation have been designed to make the most use of space, also leading the organization of movement in the foreground. The specific functions such as cooking / eating and living have been arranged around the core of the movement, to create the report and privacy at the same time, between the individual activities – the stairs, parts of furniture are stored and technical areas, while , separated and connected through a cut. In the second floor are the bedrooms single, connected directly to each other.
Wishing to emphasize the importance of location of the site, facing south, the Dolomite s, the facade is opened as much as possible in order to increase the quality of light brought to the inside of the space, in both plans are large surfaces to balconies and terraces that double the amount of floor area available, offering large play spaces for children and rest for parents. In order to give shelter from view by the way – the way to a layer of strips of wood and has been folded around large openings facing south – according to the different sizes of openings in the slats give different angles of protection and intimacy.
